We're living in dark times for Ezria fans. Aria (Lucy Hale) and Ezra (Ian Harding) spent the Pretty Little Liars Season 4 summer season apart, and Aria even found herself a new man. A hot, sexy, sweet new man. That alone wouldn't be a huge cause for concern, but the whole Ezra might be "A" thing certainly complicates their happily ever after.

Can this relationship be saved? If this weren't a TV show, we'd tell Aria to go running in the other direction as fast as she can, but in a world where the writers control everything, we think they still have a shot. After all, the writers seem to ship them as much as the fans do.

So, how can Ezria survive in the long run after what we've seen from Ezra? We have three theories about how this story could play out.

He's not really so bad after all. We doubt the writers will go in this direction, since the so-called betrayer turning out to be good all along is exactly what they did with Toby, and the writers promise they aren't going to repeat the same story. Still, it's possible that Ezra will have an understandable explanation for whatever he's up to, and Aria will find a way to forgive him.

He redeems himself. If Ezra is really a baddie, maybe we'll get to see a true redemption arc. We love it when villains change, especially if they're picking love over evil, and we'd be all for seeing Ezra's story go in that direction — as long as he has to work hard to prove he's changed for good.

Aria goes bad. As much as we like a bad guy going good, we also adore a good girl gone bad. Just because Ezria survives doesn't mean they have to be on the right side of the story. Lucy Hale herself has said she'd love to see Aria and Ezra team up as "A" together. Who says they can't be the next Bonnie and Clyde?
