It seems Ian Harding’s (Ezra) star is rising. The Pretty Little Liars actor has just been cast to star in an upcoming coming-of-age film set in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. What is the film about, and when can we expect to see Ian’s gorgeous mug on the big screen? Read on to find out.

According to the Bethlehem Patch, Bethlehem will be about “high school football, the closing of Bethlehem Steel, and the difficulties that many families endured as a result.” It all sounds very Friday Night Lights which we are totally on board with. No word on Ian’s specific role, but he will be joining a cast that includes Corbin Bernsen (L.A. Law), Taylor Spreitler (Melissa & Joey), and Christine Lakin (Step By Step). We just hope we get to see him throw a spiral.

Filming for Bethlehem is tentatively set to start in October and go through January, with an expected release date for fall 2014. Unfortunately, we probably won’t get to see Ian on the big screen as the production company, Home Theater Films, specializes in producing on-demand videos that skip the movie theater and head straight for the home theater. Oh well! We’ll watch Ian in any form.

Do you think Bethlehem sounds like a good film for Ian? What kind of role would you dream cast Ian in? Sound off in the comments below!
