If you’re a Pretty Little Liars fan, then chances are Mrs. Grunwald gave you the creeps when she explained how she pulled Ali out of her shallow grave. Well, Miranda Collins is about to find out just how creepy Grunwald can be in the Ravenswood series premiere.
A recently released script spoiler from the premiere features a conversation between Grunwald, the former house mother of Gamma Zeta Chi, and foster kid Miranda. Apparently, Grunwald now works for Miranda’s uncle, Raymond Collins, at his funeral home.
“How long have you worked here,” Miranda asks. “A very long time,” says Grunwald. “But there was a brief period when I worked at a college nearby.”
“And you came back? Why?” Miranda asks. “Mr. Collins asked me to,” says Grunwald. “By then, I was ready to return. College girls can be very unstructured.”
Did Mrs. Grunwald return to the funeral home after she pulled Ali out of the ground? Perhaps she saw something else in her vision. If she is a Seer, then it’s possible she saw Miranda come to Ravenswood.
As for the Collins house, the script describes it as “something lifted from another century.” Miranda’s room has a “canopied bed, heavy drapes over the window, a prodigious wing-chair near the window,” and “volumes of Dickens and Bronte and Twain on the night table.”
We know Miranda is a foster kid hoping to reconnect with her family in Ravenswood, but from what we’ve seen, Raymond Collins doesn’t look like the nicest man in town. In fact, it looks like he’s hiding more than a few secrets. That’s going to be one awkward family dinner!
What do you think, Ravenswood fans? Do you think Grunwald and Raymond are up to something?
