We love all of Pretty Little Liars’ constant thrills and surprises, but at the end of every episode, it always seems as though we have more questions than answers — and that was especially true after this week’s spooky Halloween episode.

To that end, we’ve tackled the biggest questions from this week’s episode in order to figure out what’s really going on in Rosewood, and to pick up on any and all clues.

Here are 10 questions from Season 4, Episode 13: “Grave New World.”

1. Is Ezra keeping his hand in his pocket to hide his cut?

We’re definitely supposed to notice that Ezra was keeping his right hand firmly in his pocket when he offers the girls a ride and then returns with Aria’s cell phone. Does this mean he was the one who was stabbed by Spencer’s gardening clippers in the greenhouse?

2. What’s so important about what Ali told Hanna at the hospital?

We’ve never known for sure if Ali actually visited Hanna in the hospital in Season 1, but it’s now been confirmed. So what does Ali mean by telling Hanna to keep in mind what she told her there? Ali told Hanna in the hospital that the Liars “remember more about that night than you think you do,” so maybe we’ll see them working with Ali to piece things together about the night.

3. What’s the deal with those little girls in jackets?

Hanna was obsessively keeping an eye on two jacket-wearing little girls throughout the episode, although when she finally sees their faces, she realizes that one of them is actually an adult woman. Clearly, this has some significance, but what is it? We’re wondering if this is a sign that an older woman has been wearing the red coat say, Ashley Marin?

4. Is Aria working with “A”?

It would be pretty crazy if Aria was at all aligned with “A.” But given that Ezra appears to be, we find ourselves entertaining the possibility that Aria is on his team. And let’s not ignore the fact that it was Aria who was holding hands with a statue instead of with Hanna when Hanna disappeared. Would Aria really not realize she was holding a freakin’ statue?

5. Does Ali indeed have a twin who’s alive, too?

Now that Ali is alive, will we eventually learn she also has a twin, as she does in the books? Or will the TV series get away from this plotline? Certainly, there have been numerous hints on the show that Ali does have a twin, like those two identical photos of Ali hanging side-by-side on her bedroom wall. Then again, maybe the show just uses these clues to tease the books’ readers.

6. Why does Ezra always show up on Halloween at the exact right time?

We’re not exactly sure how Ezra knew how to find the Liars at the end of the episode — unless he was indeed stalking them. And this reminds us of last season’s Halloween episode, when Ezra similarly showed up on the train just as police arrived. Plus, Ezra has a possible wound on his hand this year, just as he may have gotten last year, if Aria stabbed him with the screwdriver. So many parallels.

7. Who the heck are Lea and her cousin?

One thing this show probably doesn’t need more of is new characters, since a few of the existing ones barely show up as it is. (Someone send a search party out for Lucas, stat.) Still, we’re intrigued by the addition of the cemetery party attendees, Lea and her cousin. Might they somehow be in cahoots with Ali or with “A”?

8. Could Ezra be the one who has a twin?

Okay, this theory is a little wacky, but it’s possible that the show will differentiate itself from the books by giving a twin to someone other than Ali. And maybe it’s Ezra, as he appeared to be wearing black when he talked on the phone this week to Aria, and then almost immediately after that he was in his gas mask outfit. Talk about a quick change. This would also explain why Aria has fallen so deeply for him.

9. Did Ezra tamper with Aria’s phone before handing it back to her?

When a phone goes missing on this show, it’s rarely an accident. So we’re wondering if Ezra purposefully grabbed Aria’s phone in the car when she wasn’t looking, either to do something to it or to just have an excuse to check up on the girls. Or maybe he was just really in the mood to play Candy Crush on it.

10. Will Caleb hook up with Miranda?

We liked Miranda almost as soon as we met her. But we’ll probably always hold a bit of a grudge against her, seeing as how she’s the reason for Caleb leaving Rosewood. Hanna is awfully trusting of Caleb for now, but will Caleb ultimately fall for Miranda? We just hope Team Haleb doesn’t despise us for even mentioning such a horrible notion.
