We now know that Alison (Sasha Pieterse) has been in hiding since her fake death more than two years ago, but how has Pretty Little Liars resident teenage mean girl managed to stay hidden for so long and so successfully? Sasha talked to ETonline about Ali’s knack for staying alive.

“I think Alison's got excellent survival instincts,” Sasha said. “In the time that she's been hiding she's also figured out who she can trust. We will see more in season five about how she's survived and where she's been hiding out.” Our guess: she hops from place to place, never staying in one place for too long. And she tells few - possibly, no one - about her location. Also, wigs.

If it’s taken this long for Ali to determine whether she can trust the Liars, it’s hard to imagine anyone else has passed the “trustworthy test,” especially considering Sasha also mentioned that Ali’s parents cannot be trusted. Has Ali been alone this entire time? Or has she found someone besides the Liars to rely on?

Of course, Ali’s hesitance in revealing herself to her friends probably had less to do with her faith in their friendship and more to do with the stalker on their trail: “‘A’ has been using the girls to try and figure that [where Ali is hiding] out. Ezra is hot on Ali's trail -- he knows she's alive and is trying to track her down. You'll see a much darker side of him, and his motives, in 4B for sure.” Darn. Considering how Ezra was on the Liars like white on rice in the Halloween episode, we doubt the Liars will have much opportunity for chatting with their alleged dead friend.
