Now that we know Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) is alive and well (or, at least not-dead) on Pretty Little Liars, we’re beginning to wonder if she let anyone else in on this little secret post-disappearance. One of our top suspects is CeCe Drake (Vanessa Ray), Ali’s close friend and look-alike. Here are five clues that CeCe has been helping Ali this entire time.

CeCe’s disappearance

Season 4A was notable for the amount of CeCe clues the Liars found on the search for “A”/Ali. They assumed that this was because CeCe was “A,” or at least on the “A” Team, but we’re not so sure. When CeCe left Rosewood, she feared for her life, just like Ali apparently has been doing. She also spent a good deal of time staying both away from Rosewood and off of the grid. We think she may have been with Ali the entire time, or at least checking up on her on-the-lam friend.

Red Coat duty

In the summer finale, the Liars followed two Red Coats around Ravenswood. One was Ali, and the other was CeCe. Though this could mean that, while CeCe was working for “A,” Ali was running from “A,” we think it also could be a sign that the girls were working together. Think about it: If Ali wanted to keep “A” confused, having a decoy Red Coat on her side would certainly help the effort. We think CeCe could have been that decoy.

Spying on Ezra

In Season 4A, we saw CeCe spying on Ezra outside of his apartment. This made some sense when we thought CeCe was either “A” or working for the “A” Team, but now that we know Ezra is “A,” it implies that CeCe was working against the duplicitous English teacher. If Ezra is trying to find Ali, and CeCe is trying to get information on Ezra’s movements, it makes sense that CeCe was spying on Ezra to keep she and her fake-dead friend one step ahead of their pursuer.

Breaking up with Jason

We don’t know much about the relationship between Jason and CeCe, but we do know that CeCe dumped him the day after Ali’s disappearance. This action seems to work against everything we’ve seen of CeCe, who genuinely seems to care about Jason. So, why would she dump her hottie boyfriend? If CeCe knew about Ali’s fake death, we can only imagine the position dating her brother would have put her in. CeCe would have had to choose between staying with Jason, and watching him suffer through Ali’s apparent murder without revealing the truth or telling Ali’s secret. She chose to avoid that position altogether by ending things with Jason.

Their friendship

Though one Season 4 flashback implies that CeCe and Ali were more frenemy than friend, we think that may have been more of Mrs. DiLaurentis’ impression than what was actually the case. Sure, we bet these two had some epic fights, but they also seemed to have a lot of confidante moments. When Ali thinks she’s pregnant, for example, she turns to CeCe for help. In fact, as far as we know, CeCe was the only person she told about the pregnancy scare. This implies a certain level of trust between the two girls. We think that, if Ali needed CeCe for something, then CeCe would have been there for her.
