Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) revealed herself as alive and well in the Pretty Little Liars   Season 4 Halloween special after three-and-a-half seasons of presumed deadness, but how long will she manage to stay in the land of the living with “A” on her tail? Will Ali be able to stay alive in Season 4B?

Yes, she’s a master of survival

This isn’t Ali’s first day at the rodeo. Not only did the teenaged girl successfully fake her own death, but she has been living on the run for more than two years. That’s pretty impressive, considering she hasn’t even graduated from high school. Other tricks up this mean girls red sleeves: she knows how to fly a plane and is a master of disguise (past get-ups include alias Vivian Darkbloom and a hospital candy striper). She has spent the last few years not only keeping herself alive, but keeping her friends alive when they can’t manage to do it themselves it’s a tedious job. She has saved three of the four Liars from imminent death on numerous occasions. But, that’s all in a day’s work for Red Coat Ali, the masked scourge of Pennsylvania.

No, she’s at her wit’s end

When we saw Alison in the Halloween episode, she looked like she had been through a lot. No longer is she the same mean girl who manipulated her friends and enemies alike before  disappearing from the halls of Rosewood High. Nor does she seem to be the same level-headed, cool girl who snuck into a hospital as a candy striper just to check on Hanna or who nonchalantly broke into Aria’s house to tell Aria her dad’s crazy ex-girlfriend had drugged her tea. No, Ali looked scared. Like “A” was closing in on her. She also looked tired, and that is when people get hurt. She’s also revealed herself to the Liars. If Ezra really is “A” and he is out to get her, then he is one step closer to doing so as he is Aria’s confidante and loved one. How long before Aria spills the beans about Ali’s continued existence to Ezra?

Maybe she’s dead already

Still a theory we like to keep on our radar is the one that the girl the Liars talked to in the Halloween episode is not Alison, but her twin sister, Courtney. After all, someone with Ali’s DNA was seemingly found dead and buried by her loved ones. Multiple times. It follows that, if there is an “Ali” who is still alive, then there is an “Ali” who is dead. That gives the real Alison DiLaurentis a 50/50 chance of survival at this point regardless of any murder or accidental deaths moving forward. Call us paranoid, but after three-and-a-half seasons on this show, we’re not willing to take anyone’s word on anything not without substantial proof.
