Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) is alive, and now we have to view everything about Pretty Little Liars through a different lense. The show has already been around for three and a half seasons, and that means there's a whole lot of drama that's already happened that we need to look back at and question. Is it any surprise that very week on Flashback Friday we like to revisit a memorable moment from seasons past?

This week, we want to return to one of the most memorable Alison flashbacks from Season 3: Spencer's memory of going to church with her former bestie.

This scene opens with Ali mocking "loser Mona" for her over enthusiastic singing, but it quickly shifts from Ali's normal mocking to something a little more serious. Ali had been writing in her diary throughout the service, and when Spencer asks to see it, Ali playfully responds, "Nope, you're going to have to wait 'til after." "After what?" Spencer prompts. "After I'm dead" Ali replies.

She says it with a smile, and it seems playful, but at the same time there's a serious edge, especially after Spencer claims she doesn't want to read Ali's words anyway.

"Yes you do," Ali assures her. "I'm writing them for you. They're beyond scandalous, and you're going to need them if you're going to carry on after I'm gone."

Come on now. Does that sound like Ali was already plotting her escape, or what? In fact, this was one of the scenes that took us from suspecting Ali might be alive to thinking it was very, very likely, and now that we know the truth, we have to wonder exactly what Ali was planning, and for how long.

Check it out yourself below.

What do you make of this scene now that you know Ali is alive? Was she already plotting her escape? Sound off in the comments below.
