Though we’ve learned the identity of the mysterious Red Coat, there are still a fair few masked figures in the Pretty Little Liars universe whose identities remain hidden. One such person is the Lady in Black, aka the veiled woman seen at Wilden’s funeral in the Season 4 premiere. Will we learn her identity soon?

According to PLL showrunner Marlene King, “YES.” She tweeted that yesterday, in response to a fan question on the subject. We’re hoping her enthusiastic response implies the reveal will be happening sooner rather than later, maybe even in the winter premiere (Season 4, Episode 14: “Who’s in the Box?”). That could be our hiatus-fueled optimism talking, but we’re hoping Alison spills some serious secrets in the January 7 episode. And we think she herself might be the Lady in Black. Either that, or she’s aware of the figure’s true identity.

Speaking of funeral attire, does anyone else feel like it’s been a while since the residents of Rosewood have had a chance to break theirs out? In any other small Pennsylvania town (save for Ravenswood), there’d be no reason to think another funeral should have happened, but this town has its more than fair share of murders. We can’t help but worry that someone else will bite it soon. We’ve even made a list of top contenders, and looked into the rumor that Ezra (Ian Harding) might be the next victim.

Whoever it is, perhaps it will draw the Lady in Black out again!

Who do you think the Lady in Black is? And are you as worried about another death in Rosewood as we are? Sound off in the comments below!
