Ian Harding may be nigh untouchable as the mysteriously nefarious “A” on Pretty Little Liars, but that doesn’t seem the case in the movie he’s filming during the PLL hiatus. Check out the snapshot he just shared that has us worrying for his pretty little face…

“Selfie! Mov[ie] making is safe and fun always!!” Ian captioned the Instagram he shared yesterday: a shot of himself with blood on his chin and a big smile on his face. We’re going to assume that isn’t real blood, and that Ian is getting bloody for role in his new movie. Ian is currently filming in NYC for the indie crime thriller, Dynamite: A Cautionary Tale. He will be starring alongside Harry Potter’s Evana Lynch (aka Luna Lovegood) and Carol Kane in the flick, the directorial debut from Face Off alum Tate Steinseik. Last month, we saw a Twitter photo of Ian getting a mask done for the film. How might the mask come into play?

Well, according to Variety, Ian will play “a family man who was a full-time dope fiend working within the underground porn biz in 1968 New York City, running books and films to delivery points and mob headquarters around the East Coast while trying to keep his family in the dark.” Yikes! Sounds messy. Perhaps, Ian’s character will need a disguise to keep the gig going? Whatever it’s for, he’s probably qualified after a half-season of filming Ezra Fitz as “A” in Season 4B of PLL...
