One thing we’ve been most anticipating about Pretty Little Liars Season 4B is spending more time with not-dead Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse). Well, it sounds like we’re going to have to wait a little longer.

According to E! Online, we will be getting neither Alison flashbacks nor present-day Alison scenes in tonight’s episode. What a bummer! We were really hoping to get some real answers about how the teenager faked her death, why she took off into the Rosewood night, and where she has been all of this time. But, whatever. We suppose we have Ezra to obsess about. Apparently, he’ll be acting creepier than ever in Season 4B, and we’re poised with magnifying glass in hand to ferret out any and all clues concerning his motivations.

Though we won’t be getting Alison scenes, we will be checking in with another member of the DiLaurentis family. No, not Jason and the Ab-onauts (how we refer to his washboard abs). The family matriarch: Mrs. DiLaurentis. According to E! Online, “You will get plenty of information as to just how bizarre Mrs. DiLaurentis has become since her daughter's ‘death.’” Cue spooky music box-playing and shrine-building. Can someone please tell Mrs. D. that Alison is alive?

If Alison isn’t around this episode, where has she run off to? In the promo for Season 4B, we see her telling the Liars that she wants to come home, but it’s not safe. (Also, the DiLaurentis’ floorboards are probably pretty cramped.) How long will she stay away for this time? And do the Liars have a way of contacting her (a Liar-signal they can shoot up into the Rosewood sky a la Batman)? If we don’t get any Alison scene-age in tonight’s ep, we hope at least some of these questions are answered.

Are you as bummed as we are that Ali won’t be featured in the winter premiere? Or are you more looking forward to the Ezra mystery? Sound off in the comments below!
