Tonight, January 14, 2014, marks the beginning of a new TV rivalry when The Originals and Pretty Little Liars fight it out in the Tuesday, 8 p.m. ET timeslot and a feud is already a-brewing.

Earlier today, The CW released a preview of a promo that's going to air during Pretty Little Liars, encouraging fans to flip the channel and check out The Originals instead. Well, it didn't take long for ABC Family to respond with an insult of their own.

The official Pretty Little Liars Twitter tweeted the image to the right. It's simple, but effective: "Bite Me. - A." Crucially, the image also includes two hashtags for Pretty Little Liars fans to rally behind: #LiarsUnite and #Unoriginal (Oh, snap!).

While this isn't quite as gutsy as buying ad space on another channel, it's a great response to the Originals ad, which emphasizes that the vampire drama is "the most popular new broadcast show on social media." That's cool and all (no really, it's cool! We love The Originals), but let's be real: It's hard to beat Pretty Little Liars on Twitter. And by hard, we basically mean impossible — the murder mystery holds every spot on the list of top five most-tweeted TV episodes on record. Is it any surprise that #LiarsUnite is already trending in the US and worldwide?

A family of immortal vampires? We know what "A" has to say to that: Bring it, bitches.
