Keegan Allen and James Franco are taking their bromance to the next level. The Pretty Little Liars star is starring in James’s upcoming film, based off his book of short stories, Palo Alto. Keegan tweeted the trailer for the flick on Wednesday, adding, “Can't wait for everyone to see Palo Alto -written and directed by Gia Coppola.”
The coming of age film stars Emma Roberts as a suburban soccer-playing teen, who is being seduced by Franco, her soccer coach. Yikes! And, then there’s Jack Kilmer (son of Val), whose character Teddy finds himself “going down the tunnel of death.” That’s just a glimpse of the Bay Area drama, which follows a group of privileged teens dabbling in sex, drugs, and suicide. Talk about a teenage wasteland.
While the trailer doesn’t offer up too many details on Keegan’s character Archie — in fact, we don’t see very much of him — we know not to expect too much screentime for Keegan. It looks like his part is a small one. In December 2011, he told Elle, “It's a really different character than Toby — in fact, I wouldn’t recommend that anyone who gets easily offended watch my part [Laughs]. But it was fun!”

Keegan and James are teaming up again for yet another film project. Keegan recently joined the cast of James’s The Sound and the Fury. James is both directing and starring in the adaptation of the William Faulkner novel, which tells the story of an aristocratic family in Jefferson, Mississippi, that faces financial ruin.
