The Pretty Little Liars Season 4 finale seems far away, but it will be on us before we know it and that is a very, very good thing, according to showrunner Marlene King. She said she is “obsessed” with the episode. What else did she reveal about Pretty Little Liars’ next epic season finale?

“I am kind of obsessed with the next finale,” Marlene tweeted in response to a question about which PLL episode is her favorite. “Everyone brought their A game.  It's like nothing we have ever done.” Wow! Not only Marlene’s favorite, but one-of-a-kind. Does this mean the Liars might finally find out who Uber “A” is? That would be a change of pace for a show that rarely lets its protagonists discover too much too quickly. Given that we just found out Alison is still alive, we were worried we might have to wait at least another season for our next big answer dump.

Marlene’s not the only one who’s sounded off about the epicness of the Season 4 finale. According to Nia Peeples (Pam Fields), the episode is a must-see: “You’ve got be there for the last episode!” she said. “It answers a lot of things that have been hanging, so the last episode of the season answers a lot of those questions — and that’s a good thing!”

We’re hoping this includes a real answer to why Alison pretended to kill herself. We have high hopes for her not-dead storyline, but so far Season 4B hasn’t given us much in the way of plot development on that front. We know neither why nor how the former mean girl of Rosewood High did it, and we’re still waiting for the Liars to catch up with our “Ezra is ‘A’” knowledge. We can only stand dramatic irony for so long before we demand more answers!

Do you think our much-coveted answers will come in the Season 4 finale? How do you think the episode is so different from the ones that have come before it? Share your theories in the comments below!
