Right now, it might not seem like there is much hope for Haleb. Not only did Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) just break up on the Pretty Little Liars winter premiere, but their characters star on two different shows. Talk about being television star-crossed! And we might lose all heart if not for the shipper status of showrunner Marlene King...

Both Hanna and Caleb were nursing broken hearts on this week’s PLL and Ravenswood installments, respectively, and it was tough to watch. One fan took to Twitter to ask Marlene if there is any chance these two lovebirds would work it out. Marlene’s response? “Always a chance,” she tweeted. “Remember, I love them too.”

This actually is of crazy comfort considering Marlene’s shipper status may be the most important of all. As executive producer of PLL and Ravenswood, she is the one crafting the stories. Her not giving up on Haleb is as close to a guarantee as we can get at this point. And, let’s not forget: Hanna will soon be venturing to Ravenswood for a crossover appearance of her own. She will appearing in the spin-off’s Season 1 finale, set to air February 4. What can we expect from Haleb’s story in the episode? According to Marlene,  “Hanna and Caleb have a beautiful story and many scenes together in episode #110 of Ravenswood.” From one shipper to all the others!

Do you trust Marlene that things will work out between Haleb? Sound off in the comments below!
