Jason DiLaurentis (Drew Van Acker) is back in tonight’s episode of Pretty Little Liars, and we couldn’t be happier! Alison’s big brother fled town in Season 3, and has been absent from Rosewood ever since. Here are five reasons why we’re excited for his return.

We want to know if he knows about Ali. Ever since we (and the Liars) found out Alison is still alive, we’ve been dying to know if anyone else knows. Spencer theorized that Jason might be on the shortlist, and we think it’s a distinct possibility, too. Maybe Alison didn’t trust her parents or the cops, but she may have trusted her big brother. They totally squabbled, but he was really torn up when she “died” — even going so far as to offer a sizable reward for information relating to her “death.” Did Ali see this, and decide to reach out to Jason? (After all, she could use the $50,000.) Has he been away this whole time in search for his baby sister? Has he found her?

He might take his shirt off. Have we mentioned that Jason is a total stud? Because he is. The show has brought us a shirtless Jason scene before. It may be time for another basketball pickup game...

Spencer could use some more support. Let’s face it: Spence can use all of the loved ones she can get at this point. She and Jason have kind of a strange relationship. They only recently found out they’re half-siblings, but we think Spencer is secretly looking for the non-judging love and support she never got from her parents or Melissa in Jason, and we think he might be able to give it to her. Not to mention, if anyone can relate to freaking out about if they hurt Alison, then he can. Jason was drinking the night she was buried alive and, for a long time, was worried he was the one who did it.

He has “something to hide." According to the episode synopsis for tonight’s episode, Jason has “something to hide.” That could encompass a whole host of scenarios, but we’re wondering if it doesn’t have anything to do with CeCe Drake. She and Jason were totally an item before Alison disappeared. More recently, she took off around the time of Wilden’s murder. The police are looking for her in connection with the crime. Has Jason been helping her evade them? Have these two rekindled an old flame?

He seems to want to help the Liars. We know, we know: we can’t trust anyone in this town save for the Liars, but Jason has such a trusting face. There are times we’ve been suspicious of him, especially that time he hugged Mona, but we actually believe he wants to protect the Liars. He saved Emily from that elevator accident, didn’t he? The Liars could definitely use a big brother figure around who has their back.
