Paige and Emily have survived a lot over the seasons, but was Paige's betrayal of Emily's trust by telling the cops about Ali too much for even their love to overcome? It certainly seemed that way in Season 4, Episode 23 (“Unbridled”).

The episode featured two Paily scenes. In the first, Emily confronted Paige about her note, and accused her of telling the cops to get revenge on Alison. Paige insisted that it was really just to help Emily, but Em wasn't having it.

Near the end of the episode, Paige came to Emily's house, determined to make things right. She admitted that Emily had a point: she wasn't just trying to help Emily, she also truly does not care if something bad happen to Ali. She begged Em for forgiveness — and Em granted it, but not in the way Paige was hoping.

"I do forgive you," Em snapped. "But I don't think I could ever trust you again."

"What are you saying?" Paige asked, eyes full of tears, as Em ran off to go find Ali with the other Liars.

Given that Aria later commented that Emily had taken care of things with Paige, it would seem that Emily, at least, thinks the relationship is over.
