We’ve always thought Pretty Little Liars could continue into an excellent movie adaptation. After all, it’s already been translated from book series to television series to great success! But what does Pretty Little Liars showrunner have to say about a prospective PLL movie?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marlene said there are constant conversations about a possible Pretty Little Liars film: "We talk about it all the time," she said at last night’s Pretty Little Liars PaleyFest panel in Los Angeles. "I'd love to write it and direct it."

This isn’t the first time Marlene has mentioned a potential PLL film. Last August, a fan asked Marlene if she would like to make a movie of the television drama. Her Twitter response: “I'd love I make a PLL movie. Shall we rate it r for extreme romance?” Ha!

Unfortunately, though the possibility of a Pretty Little Liars movie somewhere down the road seems somewhat possible, those holding their breaths for a musical-themed episode of the ABC Family drama should probably take a breath. Though executive producer Oliver Goldstick didn’t completely shoot down the idea, he did say:  "Reality is, producing it takes a long [time] because of going into the studio, recording. But it's not impossible." Maybe we can get a musical movie?
