The title of the Season 5 premiere of Pretty Little Liars has been revealed! What will the June 10 episode be called? Read on to find out!

The episode is called “EscApe From New York,” a play off of the 1981 cult film classic of the same name. (Well, minus the creative capitalization.) Director Norman Buckley shared this photo from the PLL pre-production process, along with the caption: “First #PLL production meeting, season 5.” The episode was written by showrunner Marlene King, and will be directed by Norman Buckley. Sounds like a recipe for success!

What does this title tell us about the plot of the upcoming episode? Well, it sounds like the Liars will still be in NYC, which apparently was the setting of the rooftop showdown between the Liars, Ezra, and “A” in the Season 4 finale. Did not realize that at the time, but we’re not surprised “A” is willing to cross state borders to hunt down his/her target. We are surprised by the desperation of the title. Will the Liars and “A” have a hard time getting out of NYC? Ezra has been shot, which presumably means at least Aria will want to stick around to make sure he survives (spoiler: he does). But what about the others? Have the Liars and Alison been taken by the authorities? We’re not sure what the protocol is for someone coming back from the dead, but we’re guessing it raises a lot of questions and involves a lot of paperwork. It sounds like the Liars might not be making it back to Rosewood anytime soon...

How long do you think the Liars will be in NYC? Did you know they were there to begin with? Sound off in the comments below!
