We always knew Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) return to Rosewood on Pretty Little Liars would stir things up, we just weren’t expecting her to come between Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn). Do Ali and Caleb kiss in Season 5?!

It certainly sounds like it from Pretty Little Liars writer Bryan Holdman’s recent tweet: “Ali and Caleb, sittin' in a tree.  K-I-S-S-I-N-G…” Seems pretty straight forward to us, and is totally in line with the hints we’ve gotten from executive producer Marlene King about the “chemistry” Ali and Caleb share when they meet. Not to mention the tease that says Ali’s return will cause one Pretty Little Liars couple to spiral. The more we learn about Season 5, the more it looks like Haleb is the couple in question.

Caleb will be returning to Rosewood in Season 5, Episode 5 (aka the 100th episode), and he will be a character changed by his time spent fighting ghosts in Ravenswood. Has he changed enough that he will no longer want to be with Hanna? Probably not, but Hanna has moved on since Caleb’s departure. Even if Hanna still loves Caleb, we could see her choosing not to jump back into his arms immediately upon his return. His departure hurt her, and she’s started something else with Travis.

Given this potential obstacle in the Haleb romance, will Caleb find an unexpected connection with Alison? It certainly seems possible. These two have both suffered traumatic events since leaving Rosewood. They know what it is to keep ridiculous and terrifying secrets from the people they love, and they’ve both tasted death. Will the similarities in their recent pasts, as well as their respective love for Hanna bring them together?

Do you think Ali and Caleb will kiss in Season 5? Would you totally freak out if they did? Sound off in the comments below!

Pretty Little Liars Season 5 premiere on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
