The Pretty Little Liars Season 4 finale was full of shocks, but perhaps none was greater than the epilogue reveal that Mrs. DiLaurentis (Andrea Parker) is dead. Andrea gives us a behind-the-scenes peek into the game-changing moment in her recent Instagram video. Dying ain’t easy, you know?

“Cold, wet and dead. #dyingainteasy #RIPMrsD #PLL#BehindTheScenes,” Andrea captioned the Instagram video of the PLL crew filming Mrs. D. getting dragged through the mud. It does not look a pleasant filming experience, so we have to give Andrea props for acting suitably dead as crew member pulls her through the cold, wet set. Not the most pleasant way to go!

Co-star Ian Harding (Ezra)  seemed to have a bit more fun filming his traumatic scene from the Season 4 finale. Ian shared this photo of himself looking positively chipper with “blood” seeping through his shirt from a faux-gunshot wound. There are some considerable differences to the filming of these two scenes: Ian’s is sunny, dry, and his character will survive it.

Mrs. D.’s death is seriously going to shake up the Pretty Little Liars landscape. Not only does it mean that there is another murder for the Rosewood PD not to solve, but it will bring Mr. DiLaurentis back to town to care for Alison. And, with Mrs. DiLaurentis’ death, “A”’s secret is safe for another day.

Did you realize the filming of Mrs. D.’s death scene was so uncomfortable? What do you think the repercussions of her death will be? Sound off in the comments below!
