Have yourself a Pretty Little Liars Christmas! We knew PLL would be swapping in its Season 5 Halloween special for one of the Christmas variety, but it seems to really be coming together with this announcement from showrunner Marlene King.

“I am extremely excited to write the PLL Christmas episode. And I'm directing that one too!  @PLLlittletheory,” Marlene tweeted yesterday, sending us to write our PLL Christmas special wishlists. Requests include, in no particular order:

  • Snow

  • “A” dressed in a Santa disguise

  • A diversity of holiday celebrations

  • A kiss in the snow a la the one from this Downton Abbey Christmas special scene

  • “A”-sent carollers

  • The Liars exchanging gifts

  • A seat at the Hastings family holiday dinner table

  • “A” dressed in a reindeer disguise

  • Ezra in Santa boxers

We got the last suggestion from Marlene herself, so we think it might have the best odds, especially now that we know she’s writing the episode. Though Marlene has written many a Pretty Little Liars episode, this will only be the fourth she’s directed. Thus far, Marlene has directed the Season 4 finale, the Season 4 premiere, and Season 3, Episode 16 (“Misery Loves Company”). We can’t wait to see what she does with this very special festive episode!
