After four seasons of Pretty Little Liars twists and turns, each more insane than the last, it can be difficult trying to keep straight what’s important in Rosewood. Luckily, ABC Family has your back! They’ve just released a Season 4 recap for those who need a refresher. What happened again in last season?
The two-minute video is important not only for its role as a refresher, but also because the details it includes could give us hints about what storylines will be explored in Season 5. So, what do the PLL Powers That Be seem to think will be important to know in the upcoming season? Here’s a rundown of what’s run down in the recap:
The Liars thought Ezra was “A,” but, actually, he was writing a book about Alison’s disappearance. Also, he briefly dated Ali before he found out how young she was. He creepily came to Rosewood and got closer to the Liars to do some investigation for his true crime novel.
Aria is not pleased when she finds out.
Ali is alive.
Ezra thinks “A” is Ali’s mom. When the Liars ask Alison whether they should talk to her mom, she freaks out and insists they tell her nothing.
The Liars meet up with Ali, who tells them the truth about that night: she was hit over the head by someone she could not see. Her mother, however, did see the culprit. Mrs. D. buried Alison, thinking she was dead. Who was Mrs. D. protecting?
Mrs. D. and Mr. Hastings had some sort of understanding about that night — presumably, because Mr. Hastings thought Spencer was the one who tried to kill Alison.
Mona picked Ali up after she escaped from her grave. She convinced Ali to fake her own death.
The Liars still don’t know who “A” is.
“A” — or at least someone in a black mask — confronts the Liars and Ali on a NYC rooftop. Ezra shows up, claiming he knows who it is. When “A” aims a gun at the Liars, Ezra fights him or her off, getting shot in the process.
Aria screams at Ezra to stay awake/alive.
And there you have it! You are all ready for the June 10 premiere of PLL.
Pretty Little Liars Season 5 premiere on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
