A television show’s 100th episode isn’t just a big deal in terms of a program’s success, it also marks a significant amount of time a group of people have spent working and growing together — this is especially poignant for the Pretty Little Liars cast and crew, given that many of our PLLers were quite young when they started on the ABC Family teen drama. How do you commemorate such an important moment? With a sweet message and a fabulous cake!

“Happy 100th episode to my dearest and sweetest PLL family. I'm so blessed to be on this journey with you,” PLL showrunner Marlene King tweeted yesterday, along with a photo of the main cast helping her to cut what is an “A”-mazing cake. (Literally, there is an “A” perched on the top of its four tiers — also the cleverly referential phrase: “Celebrating 100 Episodes Bitches.”)

Helping Marlene to cut the cake is a who’s who of the cast, which has really grown into their own both as people and as actors over their more than four seasons on the show: Keegan Allen (Toby), Janel Parrish (Mona), Troian Bellisario (Spencer), Ashley Benson (Hanna), Shay Mitchell (Emily), Sasha Pieterse (Alison), and Lucy Hale (Aria). This photo is worth a look alone just to see the varying expressions on their faces. Might we particularly recommend taking a second look at Ash and Troian’s?

Though we may not have gotten any cake, we do get to celebrate the 100th episode when it airs this season, which is sure to be packed with suspense, intrigue, and maybe a wee bit amount of fan service. The highly anticipated episode will be the fifth in the season, and is scheduled to air in July 8th. It will also see the return of fan favorite Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) to Rosewood. There’s reason enough to tune in!

Are you surprised to see that PLL has made it to 100 episodes? Which PLLer do you think has the best cake-cutting expression? Sound off in the comments below!

Catch the Season 5 premiere of Pretty Little Liars on Tuesday, June 10 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
