On the Pretty Little Liars 100th episode, Season 5, Episode 5 (“Miss Me x 100"), we got an answer to a major question: Who was in Alison's (Sasha Pieterse) grave. Unfortunately, right now, the answer doesn't mean much to us. It's a girl named Bethany Young. But who is she?

This important info was announced at a press conference on the news, and all the cops said was that Bethany was a 17-year-old patient at Radley who'd escaped and been presumed missing. But this is Pretty Little Liars — we have a hard time believing the answer is really so random. Bethany must be connected to someone we already know about, right?

For now we don't have a lot to go on, and we haven't had a lot of time to digest this news. But here are three theories about how Bethany might tie into the larger picture.

She's Sydney's twin. We know something's up with new girl Sydney, since she's apparently working with Mona and Jenna. Why? Well, we also know someone has a twin sister. If Sydney had a twin who'd gone missing around the time Ali was supposedly buried in that grave, it might explain her sudden appearance in Rosewood and clear interest in Ali. Perhaps she suspected her sis was the one who had really died. Or maybe she blames her sister’s death on Alison, and that would explain why she’s working with the Ali Hater Club. If so, she could become a major player, fast.

She's Jason's twin. Again, we know someone had a twin sister. We also know someone attacked Ali that night, and Mrs. D was willing to cover it up. That has made a lot of people think Jason was the one who attacked Ali, because why would Mrs. D cover for someone other than her own child? But what if it was her own child, but not Jason. Could "Bethany Young" be a name Mrs. D made up for a mentally disturbed twin of Jason? Crazier things have happened...

She's the one who killed Toby's mom. Bethany was at Radley. There's also a major mystery surrounding Radley: who killed Toby's mom. Could the two things be related? Is it possible Bethany was the one who pushed Marion out of that window?
