We’ve always assumed that “A” is just one person on Pretty Little Liars, but does that really make sense? When you consider that more than 500 people are needed to run Congress, it isn’t that much of a stretch to imagine at least two people teaming up as “A.” Here are the top 5 reasons why “A” might be a group of people, rather than just one extremely hard-working creepazoid.

5. Two stalkers are better than one
“A” is kinda like the camera crew of a reality show — whenever something juicy or embarrassing happens, “A” is always there to witness it. So how can “A” possibly be everywhere at once? Well, unless “A” has some kind of teleportation device that we don’t know about, “A” is likely to be more than one person. (And “A” might be crafty, but breaking the space-time continuum is asking a lot.)

4. Noel and Mona seem to be working together
Mona (Janel Parrish) and Noel (Brant Dougherty) might not be quite as odd a couple as Jenna (Tammin Sursok) and Garrett, but that’s like saying that getting punched in the stomach isn’t as bad as getting punched in the face. (In other words, weren’t not crazy about either option.) And, since we’ve never really seen any real romance between Mona and Noel, we can’t help but wonder whether their connection is more strategy than chemistry.

3. Are the N.A.T. Club members working together as “A”?
Will we ever know exactly what this club’s members are hiding — or what they’re “seeing” (given that translation of the club’s name)? We’re pretty sure the club wasn’t formed due to Ian (Ryan Merriman), Garrett, and Jason’s (Drew Van Acker) shared love of Latin. (In other words, Latin might be known as “the dead language,” but we’re guessing it’s not the only dead thing that’s associated with this club.)

2. Jenna and Garrett could definitely be “A” co-conspirators
We know that these two were involved in Ali’s death, so it seems they would know a thing or two about who “A” is. And, these two have been so inseparable lately that it’s easy to imagine them working in tandem as “A.” It also makes sense that at least one person behind “A” is on the police force (especially a police force as crooked as Rosewood’s!).

1. Three words: Everyone. Hated. Alison.
There are some things that would be hard to get a bunch of people to agree to do, like moving a piano across town. However, when it comes to hating Alison, that’s a bandwagon that plenty of people want to join. The list of “A” suspects is incredibly long because of their mutual ire toward Ali (think Mona, Lucas (Brendan Robinson), Melissa (Torrey De Vitto), Jason, etc.), so it would make sense if they were working together. With friends like these, who needs enemies?
