Breaking Down the Previews for Pretty Little Liars Season 3, Episode 2: “Blood Is the New Black”
Now that we have two previews (here and here) for the next Pretty Little Liars (Season 3, Episode 2: “Blood Is the New Black”), it’s time to break them down and see what spoilers we can spot. And we already know one thing for sure: Keep an eye out for anyone wearing a pink jacket.
Mona and Hanna have a sitdown. After Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and the other girls convince Hanna (Ashley Benson) that Mona (Janel Parrish) definitely wasn’t acting alone as “A,” they advise her to visit Mona again, and try to draw more information out of her. At one point, Mona says to Hanna, “You’re getting them again, aren’t you? The texts?” Hanna, for some reason, has Mona look into her compact mirror, eventually throws a chair across the room, and Mona winds up taking a pair of tweezers and drawing blood from her finger. Creepy!
About that pink jacket... We see quick glimpses of someone (most likely female) driving a car with black gloves on, wearing a pink jacket. Another quick shot shows that same person holding a big black coat and meeting with a guy. Who are they?
Aria gets a text about Byron (Chad Lowe). Aria (Lucy Hale) appears to be alone in her room one night, when she receives a text: “Daddy needs to know. Or I let the other one go. To the police. ‘Night-night. -A” What does “A” want Aria to tell her father that he doesn’t already know? And who is the “other one”? Maybe Ella (Holly Marie Combs)?
Jenna gets sneaky. As we know from a sneak peek, Jenna (Tammin Sursok) will still be pretending she’s blind while in school. But in the preview, we catch her pulling down her sunglasses and peering at something with a smirk. What could she be smiling at?
Garrett talks to Spencer. Garrett (Yani Gellman) is clearly still trying to manipulate Spencer by promising to give her information on who dug up Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) body if she gets her mom to take him on as a client. He says, “Somebody you know well has you completely fooled.” Aside from the Liars, is he referring to Toby (Keegan Allen)? Or, we hope, to one of her suspicious family members, like Melissa (Torrey DeVitto) or one of her parents?
Somebody puts an X over someone’s face. We see a photo in a frame, and an unknown figure putting a pink X over one face. It’s hard to tell because it flashes by so quickly, but we would venture a guess that the photo is of Toby and either Spencer or Jenna. And his is not the face being crossed out.
