The 2012 Emmy nominations were announced today and surprise, surprise, Pretty Little Liars didn’t earn a single nomination.

Why is this? We know that PLL is a quality show, with good actors, incredibly thought out direction, and gripping storylines. The only problem? Its main audience is young women, which means that the Academy of Arts and Sciences will continue to snub it time and time again.

We don’t pretend to know the thinking behind Emmy nominations since dozens of great shows got snubbed, but we wonder if a show like PLL is getting ignored because of its audience rather than its content.

Do you think PLL was unfairly snubbed? Vote below.
