Do you love awkward social events and epic love triangles? Do you get chills when mysterious hockey sticks show up in your back yard? Then look no further than Wetpaint Entertainment’s recap of Pretty Little Liars Episode 2.7: “Surface Tension,” for your weekly dose of drama and trauma!

After an entire year and a half of their daughters being stalked and almost killed by a crazy biatch with a love for snarky quips, the little liars parental units finally get a clue. Ella (Holly Marie Combs) and Ashley (Laura Leighton) come to the conclusion that something suspicious is going on in their girls’ lives, but clearly they didn’t get the memo: Nosey bitches die.

Meanwhile, Emily (Shay Mitchell)’s mom has finally joined her hubby in the Lone Star State, which means that Em is officially rooming with Hanna (Ashley Benson)! Too bad “A”’s all geared up to kill two birds with one stone. Emily loves living at Hanna’s swanky house, but she’s stressed out about swim practice, and to make matters worse, Hanna’s parents’ sexy reunion has everyone feeling tense.

Hanna takes the edge off by cozying up to Caleb (Tyler Blackburn). Awww! These two are seriously melting our hearts, but there’s always trouble to be found in paradise. Hanna’s upset about her man’s shady business dealings, and he’s upset because one of his clients skipped out on a bill. Basically, everyone is upset.

Hanna offers to lend Caleb some of her pasta box money, but he’d rather treat himself to something else... her hot bod. Unfortunately their potential hang and bang gets interrupted when Caleb gets a business call, which inspires him to finally tell Hanna that he used to work for car thieves. This stud’s a bad-boy to the core!

Over at the Montgomery estate, Aria (Lucy Hale) gets caught in the world’s sexiest love triangle when her parents invite Jason (Drew Van Acker) and Ezra (Ian Harding) over for a dinner party. You’d think having these two in the same room would be the stuff of Aria’s dirtiest fantasizes, but not so much. Aria wants Ezra to decline the invite, but he’s eager to use the opportunity as a chance to broadcast their close relationship.

When Ezra and Jason both show up at the Montgomerys', they go head-to-head in the bro-off of the century: A competition about their love for bike riding in Europe. Unfortunately, the party breaks up when the police inform Ella and Byron (Chad Lowe) that their son Mike (Cody Christian)’s been arrested for breaking and entering. Yep, Aria’s left alone to entertain Jason, Ezra, and their egos.

While Jason and Ezra “get to know each other” (read: stare each other down), Aria snoops around her brother’s room and finds the light-up vase that Jenna (Tammin Sursok) made in pottery class. When Aria questions Mike, he claims Jenna’s pot was in Garrett’s apartment. Uh oh....

Meanwhile, in this week's installment of The Misadventures of Spoby, Toby (Keegan Allen) finds himself out of a job when Jason has to quit building his fence. Spencer (Troian Bellisario)’s dad, Peter, offers Toby some handyman work around their property, which gives him and Spence the perfect opportunity to make out in the woods. Toby impresses Peter with his entry-level drafting skills of the family barn, but when he unearths a broken field hockey stick that says “Hastings,” Peter is none too happy.

Spencer thinks the stick could have been used to kill Alison (Sasha Pieterse), and a flashback to the past reveals that Ali borrowed it from Melissa (Torrey DeVitto) to get closer to a mysterious field hockey player. Back in the present, Peter tries to get Toby not to tell Spencer about his find (too late) and then heads inside to burn the evidence. Better start working on your alibi, Daddy Hastings.

At this point the girls think “A” killed Ali and was trying to frame Ian, but we’re less worried about “A” than we are about Officer Garrett and his terrifying girlfriend. Spencer takes it upon herself to chat with Garrett, but just as Aria sends a text warning her that Garrett’s untrustworthy, she tells him that Ali’s murderer might still be alive! Fingers crossed Spence isn’t sitting right next to him!

The episode ends with “A” sucking some Botox into a needle and transferring it into a bottle. First Tory Burch heels and now facial reconstruction? We’re at a loss!
