Pretty Little Liars has finished filming Season 3, we keep hearing a lot about the return of some of our favorite (or not-so-favorite characters). From those we love to those we love to hate and then those that we’re just confused about, the end of Season 3 is sure to be packed with some familiar faces and some familiar drama. And the latest bit of news has us more excited than ever.

The original bad girl is back. Think about it: Who did you dislike from the first time you met her (even though, if you’re like us, you loved her boyfriend)? Yep, we’re talking about the older Hastings sibling. Melissa (Torrey DeVitto). is. back.
PLL writer Andy Reaser tweeted this photo of Torrey on set (with her adorable new hair cut) with the caption: “Ever wonder why Spencer's so motivated? Hate!”
What could possibly be the reason for her return? Will it have something to do with Jason’s (Drew Van Acker) drama? Or Spencer’s (Troian Bellisario) potential drama with Toby? After all, they’re all related.
And what’s with Andy’s comment about hate and being motivated? Will Melissa’s return spark something in Spence? We do love when she gets all feisty.
The news of Melissa’s return ups the reappearance count to four. We already know that the end of the season will feature three other Rosewood natives: Jason (Drew Van Acker), Detective Wilden (Bryce Johnson) and Dr. Sullivan (Annabeth Gish). What could possibly happen? Will we finally revisit the days of the N.A.T. club? After all, Garrett (Yani Gellman) is a free man now, not to mention the fact that we assume CeCe will still be around.
Could all of these older people bring up older issues, AKA the whereabouts of Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) body? Will we finally get answers? Could that be the mystery that Marlene is going to “finish”?
Between the reveal of Toby’s (Keegan Allen) deception and the return of Melissa, we’re starting to understand why Spencer’s world will be rocked at the end of the season, even though we’re pretty sure we can’t even imagine the extent of what could happen.
What makes you most excited about Melissa’s return? Let’s hope she has a pretty new boyfriend to add to the mix.
