Lucas (Brendan Robinson) has a strange history on Pretty Little Liars. We know that he has always been a nerd at Rosewood High, and that Alison (Sasha Pieterse) used to pick on him relentlessly. But he appeared to have an early bond with former nerd Mona (Janel Parrish), as we saw in Season 2, Episode 13: ”The First Secret”, and he always tried to take care of Hanna (Ashley Benson), and make sure she was happy.

After last night’s Season 3, Episode 3: “Kingdom of the Blind”, we’re starting to wonder if Lucas is actually just another pawn in the “A” team’s game. Sure, there is a definite chance that he is a completely sinister character. But past evidence seems to point to the contrary. The only truly bad thing he’s ever done is keep his secret gambling and money problems a secret. But eventually, he admitted why he’d been acting so sketchy in the Season 2 winter season.

The Liars tend to catch him in suspicious places at suspicious times, like when he was spotted conferring with Jenna (Tammin Sursok) and the Black Swan. But his fear seemed palpable on the most recent episode, almost as though someone or something was driving him crazy.

If the theory (based on the books) that Alison killed her twin turns out to be true, then we can understand how Lucas would want to team up with others who felt hurt and victimized by Courtney. Could Lucas be too soft and emotional to continue with the “A” game and torture the Little Liars?

You tell us in the poll below if you think Lucas is a good guy, or a bad guy!
