Pretty Little Liars

Have you caught your breath yet after all the surprises from this week’s Pretty Little Liars episode? Season 2, Episode 20: “CTRL:A” was packed with jaw-dropping moments, and here are our top five. Let the craziness begin!

5. Don’t make Holden angry — you wouldn’t like him when he’s angry
Whatever you do, be sure not to piss Holden (Shane Coffey) off, as the guy apparently has more moves than Bruce Lee. And thank goodness Aria (Lucy Hale) stayed to watch his martial arts match and make sure he didn’t complicate his heart condition, since she otherwise would have been caught red-handed by daddy Byron (Chad Lowe) for trying to meet with Ezra (Ian Harding). That is, unless Byron was just at that restaurant because he’s such a die-hard connoisseur of vegan French food. Sure, that must be it.

4. Emily tells Maya that this isn’t that kind of party
Poor Emily (Shay Mitchell) just can’t win — well, except in the pool, that is. We were relieved that Maya (Bianca Lawson) appeared to finally be providing some stability to Em’s love life as of a couple weeks ago, but that seems to be over, with Maya off to Cali after getting caught with another joint. But we wonder if there’s more behind why Maya’s leaving town, and whether it has to do with why she was talking to Jason (Drew Van Acker). Either way, Maya now can presumably appreciate the band Phish better than ever.

3. Jason finds cash and his parents’ love letters (One of those things is awesome)
Jason was totally convinced that Alison (Sasha Pieterse) had collected that $15K in three separate envelopes by blackmailing Mr. Hastings with those love letters, but that appears to not have been the case. And we’re glad that Spencer (Troian Bellisario) finally made it back home to confront her dad. Plus, as siblings go, Spencer and Jason might not be as tight as, say, Donnie and Marie Osmond, but they’re still starting to seem mighty cute together.

2. Caleb is a big fan of exclamation points
Who knew that Hanna (Ashley Benson) was such a hacker extraordinaire? (Lisbeth Salander, eat your heart out!) And Haleb never fails to be totally adorable, as Hanna realizes that the numbers in Caleb’s (Tyler Blackburn) password correspond to the date they first had you-know-what. And cut us some slack — we’re still catching our breath after those files just barely got removed from Caleb’s laptop before Detective Wilden (Bryce Johnson) could open them. If we never see Wilden again, we won’t exactly shed a tear or anything.

1. Jonah knows who was texting Ali — and he wants a lot of money for his troubles
We’re actually impressed by how confident Aria remained when talking to that total weirdo named Jonah who thought she was Ali. And it’s crazy to think that Alison actually found out who was texting her, meaning that maybe Ali did something right away to get her revenge. We’re just hoping that the girls can come up with the $2K that Jonah needs, perhaps from Jason. Hopefully, they can get the money, give it to Jonah, and then never, ever see him again!
