Pretty Little Liars Season 3 has jumped right into the intense world of Rosewood, with three episodes that didn't waste a second getting to some serious drama. Alison's (Sasha Pieterse) body is stolen, Melissa (Torrey DeVitto) is lying about when she lost her baby, and the new "A" is as twisted as ever — if not more so. A new interview with Keegan Allen (Toby Cavanaugh) suggests the grim new season won't let up anytime soon.

"The show is now going into a darker place than it has before," Keegan told Hollyscoop.

He also assured Hollyscoop that the writers are aware of what fans want, and they're paying attention to it — now more than ever.

He says many fans were hoping for more dark drama, and "the writers have done an incredible job taking that and forming this story line that’s real and it's amazing."

There were a lot of fans who were disappointed when the big "A" reveal at the end of Season 2 failed to live up to their expectations, but so far Season 3 has been a thrill a minute. It sounds like the fans who stayed loyal to the show will be rewarded with lots of interesting twists and turns this season.

Catch an all-new episode of PLL on Tuesday, June 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
