We all know Lucy Hale as the lovely Aria Montgomery on Pretty Little Liars, and of course we remember her as Rosie Baker on Privileged. But how did the brunette beauty get her start?

Did you know that singing is part of how Lucy Hale was discovered? Hearing her sing her heart out on an episode of PLL was definitely a treat, as she has an amazing voice. She even recorded several tracks for her movie A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song, but that wasn’t the first time she set foot in the studio.

Lucy recently instagrammed a pic for Throwback Thursday of her as a contestant on the kid’s singing competition show American Juniors back in 2003, when Lucy was only 14! It helped get her recognized, as did guest appearances on Disney Channel shows like Wizards of Wavery Place and Drake & Josh.

We think little Lucy is positively adorable, and we’re delighted that she’ll be releasing more music soon so we can hear more of her lovely voice! Lucy signed a record deal with Hollywood back in 2012, with her album slated to be released sometime this year.
