Pretty Little Liars showrunner Marlene King has known who "A" is since she first started typing the pilot, but that doesn't mean she can't have fun exploring the myriad "A" theories out there.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Marlene and PLL executive producer Oliver Goldstick weighed in with their thoughts on some of suspects the internet is most abuzz about.

Marlene and Oliver say Mona (Janel Parrish) is suspicious because she was "A" in the books (though doesn't that rule her out now?).

Oliver says that Jenna (Tammin Sursok) has an "axe to grind," and Marlene agrees that Jenna definitely has a clear reason to hate the girls, which makes her a good candidate for being "A."

Meanwhile, on the controversial "A" suspect Ezra (Ian Harding), Marlene says simply, "He was new to these girls in a very timely way. 'A’ did not enter their lives until Aria met Ezra.” On the other hand, "A" did enter Alison's (Sasha Pieterse) life long before that...

Oliver says Melissa (Torrey DeVitto) is definitely untrustworthy, but adds that she might be too obvious at this point, which is what we are starting to think, too. They also agree that Spencer's parents are "hiding something," which sets off alarm bells. "Half a Hastings" Jason (Drew Van Ackeris "really dark" as well, according to Oliver.

Finally, Marlene King agrees that Noel Kahn (Brant Daugherty"pops up in the most unusual and interesting places," making him a prime suspect.

Notably absent from Marlene’s list? Maya (Bianca Lawson). Make of that what you will.
