We have a thousand question we want to see answered on Pretty Little Liars Season 3. The Season 2 finale, (Episode 25: “UnmAsked”) opened up about ten new cans of worms, but some of the most burning PLL mysteries are ones that have lingered for ages.

For instance: Who killed Ian (Ryan Merriman)? His death looked like a suicide, but the girls figured out his "suicide note" was actually composed of old "A" texts. But does that mean "A" actually pulled the trigger? Mona (Janel Parrish) was deranged and definitely put the girls and their loves ones in harm's way, but it's still hard to wrap our heads around the idea that she actually killed someone in cold blood.

A fan recently asked showrunner Marlene King about Ian's killer, and her answer was very interesting.

"Will we ever find out who actually killed Ian because I don't think Mona did," the fan tweeted

"if I Answer that it gives away a secret so I can't," Marlene replied. "But it's a great question."

Okay, so that answer doesn't really tell us anything, but the fact that Ian's killer is still a secret makes us think it wasn't Mona. After all, all the clues point to it being "A", so why would questioning that conclusion be "great" unless everything isn't as it seems?

Of course, if Mona didn't do it, who did? Share your theory in the comments or at our Facebook page.

Catch an all-new Pretty Little Liars when Season 3 premieres on Tuesday, June 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
