In the Canadian preview for the Pretty Little Liars Halloween episode (Season 3, Episode 13: “This Is a Dark Ride”, airing October 23), a brand new villain makes a haunting appearance. Who is hiding behind the evil Joker mask?

We already know that someone wearing a baby monster mask (look familiar?) will attack Spencer (Troian Bellisario), as you can see in this spoiler photo. But we didn’t know that someone dressed in a menacing and elaborate Joker costume (not the Batman villain kind of Joker, but more of a Shakesperean fool) will be chasing her too.
We came up with five suspects who might be behind the mask.
Toby (Keegan Allen). Toby is on the “A” team, and he would obviously need to wear a disguise to chase after Spencer. Plus, the Joker looks kind of tall, which Toby definitely is. Finally, Toby is one of the only confirmed villains on the show, so he better get used to our fingers pointing in his direction.
Garrett (Yani Gellman). In a spoiler clip, we see that Toby threatens Garrett after seeing him with Spencer. Garrett wants to come clean to Spencer about what happened the night Alison was killed, and who stole her body. But Toby isn’t going to let that happen. Maybe Garrett figures that his only chance will be at the Halloween ghost train party, so this is his costume. Plus, he could actually be chasing after the baby monster, trying to save Spencer.
Alison (Sasha Pieterse)/her twin. There’s a theory that Alison or her twin will be making a big appearance during this episode. They would naturally need a head-to-toe costume like this one. And wouldn’t the Joker be entirely appropriate? “Just kidding, I’m alive!”
Jason (Drew Van Acker). Jason is definitely in the Halloween episode, but we don’t know in what way. Maybe he’s working with the “A” team, or trying to protect the Liars. Of course, Jason might just be making an appearance in a flashback with Alison.
Lucas (Brendan Robinson). We know Lucas is in this episode, but not in what capacity. He hasn’t shown up in any of the sneak peeks or previews, so it’s a good chance he’s the Joker — especially since Lucas is working with the baby monster people, as we saw in Pretty Dirty Secrets.
