Pretty Little Liars Burning Question: Who Tried to Kill Caleb’s Mom in Montecito?
On last night’s Pretty Little Liars (Season 3, Episode 4: “Birds of a Feather”), “A” was up to his or her old tricks. While Mona (Janel Parrish) had threatened to hurt Toby (Keegan Allen) if Spencer (Troian Bellisario) didn’t break up with him in Season 2, this new “A” seems to be going after Caleb’s (Tyler Blackburn) family in order to separate Hanna (Ashley Benson) and her man.
Hanna received a text from “A,” showing an up-close photo of a Montecito car wreck. “A” promised that he or she is “everywhere,” meaning that “A” was on the scene of this accident. Then we found out that it was Caleb’s mom who was in the car wreck, and suddenly the “A” team’s actions are starting to look far more dangerous (and potentially dangerous) than ever before. If “A” was scary before Mona got locked away, then “A” is absolutely horrifying in this new incarnation.
So who could have been in Montecito to cause the accident? Two of our top “A” team suspects — Melissa (Torrey DeVitto) and Mona (Janel Parrish) — couldn’t have made the trip. Mona for the obvious reason that she’s at Radley, and Melissa, because she was very much in town telling her family a highly suspicious story about being the Black Swan.
There are other shady suspects, of course. Jenna (Tammin Sursok) is still a very suspicious person, based on her long con of pretending to be blind for so long. Not to mention her own hard-to-believe story about being tormented by someone. Her whereabouts throughout this episode are unknown, and we have a theory that Jenna is the one who visited that gun store in the final moments of Season 3, Episode 2: “Blood Is the New Black”. So Jenna is a definite suspect.
There’s also Lucas (Brendan Robinson), who has a lot of explaining to do. He’s good with computers, so it could have been him we saw in the last scene of the episode, changing Mona’s visiting privileges. And Wren (Julian Morris), despite all his cordial and caring appearances, is still a mystery when it comes to his motives and alliances in Rosewood.
Who do you think caused the accident involving Caleb’s mom?
