A huge spoiler for Pretty Little Liars Season 3, Episode 21: "Out of Sight, Out of Mind" says that someone is going kick it during the episode. And here we thought Rosewood would be death-free at least until the finale!

Of course, we've taken it upon ourselves to speculate about some of the likely candidates. We've pondered the possibility that it's Toby or Jason, and now we want to speculate about someone else who's important to Spencer (Troian Bellisario): Melissa Hastings (Torrey DeVitto).

We're going to break down the reasons we think the death could be Melissa, and also why it might not be.

Why she might die: As Jason pointed out recently, it sure as heck looks like the "A" team is targeting former N.A.T. club members, and while it's unclear if Melissa was strictly a member of the club, she clearly was connected, and might know more than "A" wants.

On top of that, according to CeCe (Vanessa Ray), Melissa knows about the CeCe-Wilden-Ali connection, so if that's something the "A" team — or even Wilden (Bryce Johnson) independent of the "A" team — wants to keep quiet, she could suffer the consequences of knowing too much.

Plus, Spencer supposedly hasn't hit rock bottom yet. Having her sister die would definitely destroy her.

Why she might not: All that stuff about how she knows about the N.A.T. club and Wilden could also work in Melissa's favor. She's all knotted up in the mystery of the "A" team and the mystery of Alison's (Sasha Pieterse) death. She's totally ambiguous and therefore completely fascinating. Basically, she's a really good, valuable character. Why would the writers want to get rid of her?

Do you think Melissa could die on Episode 21, or is she definitely going to last longer than that?
