A shocking death spoiler for Pretty Little Liars Season 3, Episode 21: "Out of Sight, Out of Mind" revealed someone’s days in Rosewood are numbered. And here we thought the town would be death-free at least until the finale!
Of course, we've taken it upon ourselves to speculate about some of the likely candidates. So let's take a look at one of the most obvious choices: Detective Wilden (Bryce Johnson).
Why he might die: Well, he was hit with a car last episode. Plus, Wilden is an important enough character that his death would be notable, but he's not exactly likable. Killing him would create a dramatic moment without pissing many fans off. And it would add a wrinkle to the Liars' investigations. It seems like Wilden is wrapped up in what happened to Alison (Sasha Pieterse). Having him die now would add another complicating factor, which is something the writers love.
(Plus, if Wilden dies from being hit, that would explain why Ashley Marin might face life in jail. Murder is serious business.)
Why he might not: The fact that Wilden is so involved in the plot right now means the writers might want to keep him alive. Plus, with Wilden dead the Liars would no longer have an enemy on the police force, and it's important that they have a strong reason not to go to the cops — without Wilden there, it would seem very self-defeating to stay quiet.
Do you think Wilden will die on Episode 21, or is he definitely going to last longer than that?
