If you’re Toby (Keegan Allen) fans like us, then you went into a downward spiral of depression when you saw the dead Toby-like body in last night’s Pretty Little Liars episode (Season 3, Episode 21: “Out of Sight, Out of Mind”). For an example of what this can look like, see Spencer’s lifeless (Troian Bellisario) expression at the end of the ep. But we’re not willing to believe that Toby is dead, and here’s why!

PLL fans are smart -- just like the Liars themselves -- and many have already pointed out the roundup of spoilers for the Season 3 finale, “A Dangerous gAme,” featured on the PLL Wiki page for the episode. According to the notes section, the episode will feature: a possible Spoby resolution, a Spoby “moment,” and an “altercation” between Spencer and Toby. Granted, Toby doesn’t necessarily have to be alive for a resolution, but altercations usually involve two lively parties.

If we also take into account Keegan Allen’s claim that he will be in the Season 3 finale and Marlene King’s tweet that Toby’s mom will be in the Season 4 premiere, our panic attack starts to subside. Now, if only we could get Spence to read this article!

Though we are relieved that all signs point to Toby not being dead, we can’t help but feel like we have many more questions than we started the episode with.

Aria (Lucy Hale) asked if it could be Toby who wants the Liars to think he’s dead, and we are wondering that, too. And, if it is Toby, is he doing it so he can protect the Liars or is he doing it so he can implement the “A” team agenda without them looking for him. And, if that wasn’t Toby lying dead in the forest, then was it Wilden?

Who do you think the body belonged to? Toby? Wilden? Let us know in the comments section below!
