The last shot of the Pretty Little Liars Season 3 finale saw someone pulling a hand from the ground in what we assume was a continuation of this scene from the Halloween episode. If we are to believe that the person being pulled from the ground is Ali (Sasha Pieterse), then who is pulling her from her grave?
We’ve been operating under the assumption that, if Ali had a twin, only one of them is alive. This is how it happens in the books and given that there is, in fact, a dead body, it makes the most sense. But what if somehow both of them are alive? Red Coat seems capable of almost anything (and Mona agrees). Faking the DNA results on a corpse is probably child’s play for her. If the books are anything to go by, Courtney and Alison had a difficult relationship, but that doesn’t mean a sister wouldn’t pull another sister out of a grave...right?
Even though Jenna (Tammin Sursok) has been around since day one, we’ve never really been able to get a read on her. The Liars’ hunt for “A” has consistently led back to her, but she always manages to wriggle out of it. There never seemed to be a lot of love between Ali and Jenna, but that doesn’t mean they’re not working together. In the books, Ali and Jenna actually plan the firecracker in garage scenario together in an effort to punish Toby. Could they be working together in the show, as well?
In last night’s episode, Mona (Janel Parrish) claims that she wasn’t contacted by Red Coat until she was put in Radley - it was only then that she was offered a deal. If this is the case, then it couldn’t have been Mona who pulled Ali from the ground....but when have we ever been able to trust Mona? I mean, we love her, but the girl is seriously unhinged. Has Mona been working with Ali since the beginning? Did she have a reason to team up with the girl who had tormented her again and again? A common enemy, perhaps? Or even just the offer of friendship?
Wren or Eddie
Radley seems to be integral to the mystery surrounding Alison and her “death.” In the books, both Ali and Courtney spend time in the mental hospital. If Ali was planning her “death,” then it makes sense that she would have had an accomplice at Radley. This leaves us with Wren (Julian Morris) and Eddie Lamb (Reggie Austin) as top suspects. We have always been suspicious of Wren, who has stuck around in the Liars lives way longer than is probably normal. As for Radley nurse Eddie, he buddied up to both Mona and Spencer, making us suspicious of his motives. Could he be Alison’s man on the inside? Was he the one who pulled her from her grave?
