Now that we know that someone will die in the highly anticipated Pretty Little Liars Halloween episode (Season 3, Episode 13: “This Is a Dark Ride”, airing October 23), every little clue has taken on new meaning. And PLL writer Andy Reaser’s latest is a doozy.

For some charming reason, Andy decided to respond to some of his French Twitter followers’ questions, and he did so with French replies. We saw that a fan asked Andy for “Un mot a propos de l'épisode d'Halloween?” or “A word about the Halloween episode?” Andy replied, “un sac et une boite” or “a bag and a box.”

The clues don’t initially make much sense, but this isn’t the first time a PLL insider has tweeted about a box being a major clue in the episode. Showrunner Marlene King tweeted that “red lips” and “a box” would play a big role.

Of course, we got a glimpse of a sinister-looking box in the Season 3 summer finale (Season 3, Episode 12: “The Lady Killer”). “A” had sent a threatening text to the Liars with a picture of what looked like a coffin when they were supposed to meet by Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) grave. Of course, Mona (Janel Parrish) decided to change those plans at the last minute, so we never found out what was in the box. Does this mean we’ll find out next week?

The bag is a new clue, and we have no idea what it means quite yet. Thankfully we only have to wait 8 days to find out!
