Recently, Pretty Little Liars writer Andy Reaser noted that solving Maya's (Bianca Lawson) murder will be a driving force in Season 3, but it sure didn't feel that way in last night’s episode, Season 3, Episode 5: “That Girl is Poison.” Sure, Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Nate were angry over Garrett's (Yani Gellman) release, but we didn't seem to make any progress in solving the mysteries surrounding the dearly departed.
But appearances can be deceiving, especially in Rosewood. A fan told writer Bryan Holdman, who penned Episode 5, that she was a bit disappointed with "no Maya secrets being revealed" in the episode. Bryan replied, "There were some tidbits [in the episode]. Maybe you'll look back from 312 and notice them..."
Season 3, Episode 12: “The Lady Killer” is the summer finale. It sounds like we'll find out enough about Maya then that the clues that are hidden throughout the season will start to make sense.
