Pretty Little Liars Is a Certified Smash
If Liars fans have a secret, it's clear that they can't keep it — since all of America tuned in to watch the latest episode! The mid-season premiere of Pretty Little Liars cements the show's status as TV's hottest newcomer, slaying its previous airtime records with a staggering 4.2 million viewers. Moreover, the ep reached series highs in all key demographics, including adults 18-34, women 18-49, and viewers 12-34, topping last summer's series premiere numbers by more than 2 million and making history as ABC Family's second-best telecast ever in women 12-34. Basically, that's industry jargon for, "everyone is totally obsessed."
Unsurprisingly, the show's cast and crew were elated by the good news. Lucy Hale tweeted, "just wanna give a big thanks to all of you for watching. we hit a series high last night!", while the ep's director, Norman Buckley, tweeted "Wow! 4.2 million for #PLL... Thanks guys!" Here's hoping that Liars will be able to sustain these sky-high numbers throughout the whole season. Comment below and tell us: Will you be tuning in next week?
