The cast and crew of Pretty Little Liars is currently filming Season 3, Episode 22, and writer Joseph Dougherty has tweeted a clue from the Rosewood set. What could it mean?

On October 19, Joseph tweeted this photo with the message, “Wisdom from Rosewood.” It looks like one of those daily announcements posts that churches have out front, so patrons know which pastor is speaking, and on what topic.

In the photo, a quotation from Ralph Waldo Emerson reads, “Commit a crime and the world is made of glass.” And guess which pastor is speaking on this weighty topic of criminal behavior? None other than online dater and Ashley Marin’s (Laura Leighton) crush, Pastor Ted Wilson.

Why this particular Emerson quote? We don’t hold advanced degrees in poetry or philosophy, but we interpret the quote as a warning. If you commit a crime, beware of all the evidence you’ve left behind. Also, tread lightly. Of course, we welcome any Emerson scholars to submit their own interpretation!

Back to Pastor Ted. Is he really such a big part of Season 3 to merit a return appearance? We could see Hanna (Ashley Benson) maybe having to get used to him, if Ashley starts dating him seriously. Then again, we have another suspicion about the church photo.

Fans will remember seeing this leaked photo from the set last week, featuring Alison (Sasha Pieterse) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) sitting in church pews. Maybe this is all part of a long flashback, or better yet, it’s present day, and Alison is alive!

We can’t wait to find out.
