We had a ton of questions going into Pretty Little Liars Season 3, Episode 8: “Stolen Kisses.” Was Mona (Janel Parrish) helping the Liars? What is on Maya's (Bianca Lawson) website? What's Ezra (Ian Harding) hiding? We had high expectations.

A lot certainly happened this episode. Ship shakeups, new secrets, and more!
Aria (Lucy Hale) finally meets Ezra's mother, who is delightfully haughty and deeply nasty. We learn that Ezra comes from money money, but we also learn why he's basically cut himself off from his family (even going so far as to change his name): They suck. Or at least his mother does. She tells Aria that Aria is ruining Ezra's life, and then tries to pay her to break off the relationship. Seriously. Who does that? Aria, of course, isn't tempted by the money, but she is shaken by the idea that she has hurt Ezra. On the upside, this all leads to a nice father-daughter moment with Byron (Chad Lowe). Next to Ms. Fitzgerald, he seems like the Parent of the Year.
Also in Aria news: She and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) find Ms. Hastings's file on Garrett's (Yani Gellman) case, which leads Aria to finding a movie theater worker named Bart who saw Maya get into Garrett's car before she died. Um...wow. What? Why?!
Speaking of Maya, it looks like Emily (Shay Mitchell) is moving on, at least a little. She learns that she was with Paige (Lindsey Shaw) for part of "that night" — before the phone call — and she learns she kissed Paige. After a convo with Nate, Emily concludes this means she wants to be with Paige after all, and they kiss and frolic in the pool.
Which might be nice and all, but it means she misses out on the biggest discovery of the week: Maya's website is legit! Spencer recruits Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) to help her hack in, only to discover the site is filled with Maya's videos. In one, Maya seems really, really scared. We have a feeling this site will reveal a wealth of information, but it might take a while to find, since there are hundreds of videos.
Finally, Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Wren (Julian Morris) team up to stop Mona from being moved to a facility in Saratoga, New York. Hanna makes a moving speech that wins the case, and celebrates by … kissing Wren. They both seem totally shocked by it.
This episode was intriguing. There were a lot of good scenes — we loved Hanna's speech, Ezra's mom was fun in a love-to-hate way, and we enjoyed Spencer and Caleb's bonding — and lots of interesting clues were revealed, but there were also some weird moments. Shipping aside, we just found Emily and Paige's reunion plot odd, and we were sad to see Toby (Keegan Allen) and Spencer fight.
We give it 3.5 stars. What do you think?
