Things looked pretty shaky for Ezria fans at the end of last week’s Pretty Little Liars (Season 3, Episode 17: “Out of the Frying Pan and Into the Inferno”) when Ezra (Ian Harding) drove away from Aria (Lucy Hale) and off to meet the seven-year-old son he just discovered he had.
Unfortunately, it looks like fans hoping for a quick reconciliation and a return back to the way things were for Ezria are in for disappointment. Here’s what executive producer Oliver Goldstick had to say to E! Online about Ezra’s discovery and the aftermath for Rosewood’s long-standing couple:
"It's huge, it's profound. It does make him reevaluate the other relationships in his life, like Aria, like living in Rosewood and this child it at a distance. It's huge for him," Oliver explained."He has to make some decisions and figure things out and take a step back from his relationship with Aria."
Sounds like Aria is going to have a lot more time on her hands, but there may be someone waiting in the wings who is more than happy to fill in.
"Wouldn't you know it, when [Ezra] steps back, Wes, his little brother, steps in, who is strangely comforting to Aria in a time when he shouldn't be," said Oliver.
Looks like Aria might not be alone for long! Wesley (Gregg Sulklin) was already moving in (literally, into Ezra’s apartment) at the end of last week’s episode. Better figure things out quickly, Ezra, before your baby brother does!
Do you think this is the beginning of the end for Ezria? And if it is, do you think Wes could be Aria’s rebound? Share your theories in the comments below!
