We’ve had a lot of one-word descriptors when it comes to next week’s Pretty Little Liars Season 3 finale, and executive producer Oliver Goldstick has just given three more. Oliver told TV Line that Tuesday’s finale is going to be: “Haunting. Mind-blowing. Smoldering.” Let’s break this down:

Haunting
When we hear “haunting,” we think ghosts and a possible return from the dead. This could refer to Alison or, less literally, to her twin sister who the Liars technically never thought of as dead. Or, it could refer to Toby (Keegan Allen) who we are still holding out hope for despite the fact that the Liars seem to have finally accepted his death.

Mind-Blowing
This isn’t the first time we have had heard this descriptor before. Showrunner Marlene King called the season finale “mind-blowing” last month. Marlene and Oliver could be referring to a figurative “mind-blowing” (perhaps with the Red Coat and/or twin reveal), or perhaps they are hinting that literally something will blow up.

Smoldering
We know from Marlene’s hints and the episode promo that something in Rosewood is at least going up in flames if not a full-out explosion. This adjective adds...fuel to the fire. Oliver could also be using the world “smoldering” as in sexy. We’re not against a smoldering Spoby reunion.

What do you think the hints mean? Let us know in the comments below!
