The Pretty Little Liars writers are constantly upping the ante in their finales, but it's hard to imagine how the Season 3 finale could top this year’s summer finale (Season 3, Episode 12: “The Lady Killer”) and the game-changing revelation that Toby (Keegan Allen) is part of the "A" team.
However, showrunner Marlene King seems completely confident that the winter season won't let fans down.

Yesterday, Marlene called the Season 3 finale "big and bold," saying it "feels like a 60 minute movie."
And when she says it's big, she means it, because a few hours later she tweeted, "Somehow we just keep getting bigger."
Bigger than the shootout in the summer finale, or Mona (Janel Parrish) going completely bonkers in the Season 2 finale (Season 2, Episode 25: “UnmAsked”)? We don't know how the writers can top themselves this time, but we're excited to see them try!
